From the page: "It won't be your grandmother's protest, where police haphazardly sprinted after hippies, but the game ends when the protest is over. This time around, the police presence will be huge, suspicious activity will be loosely defined and cataloged in a huge national database. Furthermore, because so little is known about this huge database, there's no way to know if someone erroneously charged with "suspicious activity" will be permanently exonerated for their crime, or if they will forever remain on "The List." In a turn of fate that would make Kafka shudder, simply being accused of guilt could forever brand one guilty."
I am sure the majority of people who stop by this blog think I am overreacting to the tactics used by the PIGS lately. To those people all I can say is you are exactly the type of person they want you to be; be a good little boy scout/girl scout, believe ever single lie the PIGS, the feds, or any other person who supposedly has authority over you tells you, and always remember that to lose your freedoms is actually to become more free, just under government control.

Most Americans assume that if you are in prison then you deserve to be there or if you don't have enough money to hire a good defense lawyer then tough luck; regardless, with such antipathy towards people caught up in the corrupt and failing "justice" system you can expect these types of things to happen. When a country abandons the rule of law, like the United States has, travesties like this go on everyday and there is little to no recourse. In this case an innocent man died because the Texas legal system is pretty much based on the guilty until proven innocent concept, a concept that is quickly being adopted by the entire country.
I hope the family of this man sues the hell out of the state of Texas and its judicial/correctional system for letting their innocent loved one die in jail.

Sure, it is a delaying action but damn, you gotta respect hell out of Russ Feingold. The guy is one of the good ones and he is working for all of us in the Senate, unlike a couple of folks in there who decided to skip the vote yesterday. I'm looking directly at you Clinton and Obama.
Just think of what this country would be like if a REAL progressive like Russ Feingold got the nod and became the preznit of the U.S. I'm just glad he is in the Senate right now to counter the corporatist machinations of Feinstein, Obama, Rockefeller, and Clinton. He's getting help from other real Democratic Senators, but Ol' Russ is leading the charge!
See Obama, this is what LEADERSHIP looks like.
